What is the URCC Captain Program?
A URCC Captain is a young man or woman who has exhibited godly character and much leadership potential. These teenagers have been selected by the Uplands Reach Staff to serve one or two weeks as leaders during our Junior Camps.
What do Captains do?
Captains have the option of volunteering during one or two weeks of Junior Camp. We prefer that Captains volunteer both weeks of Junior Camp. These young leaders will have the privilege of assisting our Interns and Staff with various responsibilities throughout the event. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting activity leaders
  • Assisting Team Leaders with children
  • Leading campers through activities
  • Facility upkeep
  • Food service
How do I apply?
Captains are selected by Staff invite only. Upon invite, potential Captains receive an Application Packet. To apply for the position, potential Captains are required to:
  • Complete the Captain Application
  • Have all reference forms completed
  • Attend Total Immersion Teen Conference
  • Attend ONE of the two training sessions
When are training dates?
June 28 after Total Immersion Dismissal.

Please Note: Potential Captains will be required to stay and attend the Captain Training following the dismissal of Total Immersion. Captains will aid in clean up after Total Immersion. Lunch will be provided. Parent pick up will be at 5pm.

Where do Captains stay and when do they arrive?
Captains will reside on campus during the week or weeks that they choose to serve. Captains will need to eat dinner prior to check in. All other meals will be provided.
